If
you live in Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio or Tennessee, the United States Court of
Appeals for the Sixth Circuit is the most authoritative court next to the United
States Supreme Court. The Sixth Circuit interprets the federal laws for the District
Courts in those states which are bound by its decisions. We take great pride in
keeping up with the Sixth Circuits decisions in the employment area in general
and age discrimination in particular.
We have provided for your educational use summaries of some of the more
important Sixth Circuit cases decided between June 30, 1997 and June 30, 2000.
This is not an exhaustive compilation. It is not intended as legal advice. Each
case is different. Consult an attorney to find out how any case or series of cases
may affect your case.
